Developments on "Don't ask, don't tell", John McCain, and how to feel okay after hearing what he has to say...

Informative article by Elisabeth Bumiller of the New York Times on what's going on with "don't ask, don't tell" right this second. To say I'm hopeful would be pushing it, but people are talking about it which is definitely something.
I find that, whenever Senator John McCain speaks, it helps to do something else, like whistle, hum, or listen to recordings of whale noises, at the same time. Multitasking helps tune out the hatefulness and bigotry.
I mean, don't 100% ignore it, because it is essentially the only argument in favor of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and therefore a crucial part of the discourse, but still. I think ignoring at least 55% of it is permissible.

If you are unable to tune him out, this is a guaranteed cure-all megatronic wonder remedy for heavy boots:

In other news, the French test that I thought I bombed actually turned out aight (91% suckazzzz!)
Have I mentioned yet to day that I love you all? Because I do.

About Me

My photo
I was going to call this blob the Lonely Goatherd but thought that might be misleading because I am not, in fact, a very lonely person. The Loamly Goatherd works out quite nicely because loam rhymes with lone and also happens to be my favorite soil type. When I am not buzzing about being an agriculture and education student at Western Washington University, I am a cooker, a baker, an eater, a feeder of people, and a knitter-sewer-felter of all things soft and wooly.
